David and Nikki were in Destin, Florida with Nikki's family for her cousin, Rochelle's, wedding. David sent Nikki with his mom to eat seafood(he's allergic) while he got ready to propose. He ran down to Jack and Pam's room to tell them the plan and recruit help. They dug out "Nikki Marry Me??" in the sand. David ran back up to the balcony to look down and see how it looked. At that time, he felt his pocket and realized he had lost the ring!! He started freaking out and had to figure out a way to get a new one. He called his mom and said he needed to talk to her. She told Nikki that her mom was calling and needed to talk to her about her meds. Of course, Nikki believed her. David had no money because Nikki had all the spending money so had to have Edonna explain where her stash was and have Jack take him to wal mart to pick out a new one. He sent texts to Edonna saying "Stall! Stall! Stall!" While he was picking out a new ring Nikki's family was rewriting in the sand. Nikki and Edonna were finally able to come back to the hotel. When they walked back in the condo Nikki saw the room key laying on the counter with the door unlocked and was not very happy. She looked down on the beach looking for David and Hayden. She saw Rochelle and waved at her and then heard Jack down in the room below and looked over the balcony and talked to him. Finally, she heard "honey" and looked down and saw David down on one knee with the writing in the sand. She looked at Edonna and asked if this was for real and stood there shocked. Edonna told her she better go down and answer him, so she took off to the elevator first walking and then running. David felt like it took forever. She ran out to him and answered yes, hugged and kissed him. She then found out the rest of the story. :)
